Slowly moving away from Discord
Published: 2024-08-19
Things I learned from my time on Discord:
- Servers with huge marketings will probably become very bland(?) and uninteresting.
- A good/ideal server would be a semi-private one, that was made for a purpose, have no or very little marketing and people have to put enough effort to search for it in order to get in.
- It is best to not try to argue.
- See if a server fits you. If not, don't stay for too long.
- Try to not reveal any of your personal information.
- Discord is a social media.
- Keep a cool head.
- Nói văn minh trên mạng kém thì chắc đúng rồi đấy.
Nobody really knows you anyway.
I had left all servers that serves me no purpose. That means, I will be staying at some public servers that is somewhat special for me:
- Doujin Cafe: Joined after learning about it in a conversation on IRC. Specializes in Doujin music. Also talks about programming, games, Japanese stuff, etc. Very interesting community and people (they have very good tastes on things!).
- Vietnam Key FanClub: A certain former staff recommended this server to me. Specializes in visual novels from a company. Very mature members. People have very diverse viewpoints on things.
No free speech.
This is it!
